This is the next step after the AIDA 2 Star course. The course is getting a bit more serious now and the student is taken deeper deeper in both theoretical areas and the litteral meaning of the word. You will learn more theory of what's going on in the body when it comes to freediving. The student will also learn more about what's going on in the body while equalizing, traing equalizing with frenzel technique, expand on what is already known about the cardiovascular system and learn more about buoyancy in regard to freediving.
Most of the tranining in the open water sessions of the course will be of my favorite part of freediving: the freefall. The student will learn when to start freefalling, correct position and correct posture when freefalling. Another heavy focus of the class is on safety, and the diver will be a safer diver after the class, both for themself and for any buddies the diver dives with.

To successfully complete the AIDA 3 star freediver course you will have to perform a 2 minute 45 second breathold, swim 55 meters underwater with fins and dive 24 meters deep in the open water.
A student that has finished this course is qualified to take the AIDA 4 Star course .
